This deer was killed by my grandfather back in the late 60s. My grandmother was telling me a little story about it. It was his first deer kill. She says they were driving to the spot where he was going to sit so she could let him out and drive off, and he saw this deer standing at 150yards. She says he was dropping stuff everywhere trying to load his 30/30 and finally got some shells in it.
He then fired once and missed, and then levered, shot again, and missed again! Well he levers again and I guess at this point the deer had no fear left in him with the poor marksmanship LOL and hes just standing there. Levers one more time and dry fires he had only got 2 shells loaded.
So amazingly the deer is still there and he gets another shell in and drops him like a rock. I thought it was a good story and a unique set of antler. The one Brow tine on the left side is 10" long and I really like the matching kickers on the top that curve down.

Too funny! That is a really unique set of antlers, ya gotta loves the ones with junk like that.
Very cool to have something like that from your grandpa! Great story too!
Fun story!
150 yard shot with a 30/30 lever is a success in my book! Very cool that this rack and the story behind it lives on!
That is definitely a unique rack, and a great story to keep passing down!
that is an awesome story and a great rack.
